HelloSubway: a free online typing game
HelloSubway is a free online typing game played in your browser on real subway and metro lines. Instead of random words you type the names of the stations, one after another, and the train moves along the real route as you go. There are 84 lines in Seoul, New York, London, Paris, Tokyo and Singapore.
How it works
- Pick a city and a line. Each line shows how many stations it has and how hard it is to type.
- Type the name on the nameplate. When it is complete, the next station appears.
- At each station you see a photo of a place nearby, with a short note about it.
- At the last station you get a result card with your speed, accuracy and a stamp you can share.
An online typing game you can start in seconds
Whether you call it the subway, the metro, the Underground or the Métro, the idea is the same. There is nothing to download and no account to make: open the page, pick a line and start typing. It works on a computer or a phone, and you can play for a minute with Express mode or ride a whole line. If you want to practise typing, the station names give you real words, accents and hyphens to get used to, and the speed meter shows your characters per minute as you go. Log in only if you want your runs on the rankings.
