Charles de Gaulle - Étoile is where Line 1, Line 2 and Line 6 meet, under the Place Charles-de-Gaulle, around the Arc de Triomphe. It is popular with tourists because of how close it is to the monument. There is no single exit for the Arc: the station has eleven, and the way to choose is by the avenue you want.
The eleven entrances
Entrance 1 is on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, even side. Entrance 2 is at the corner of Charles de Gaulle and the Avenue de Friedland, even side. Entrance 3 is on the Avenue Victor-Hugo. Entrance 4 is on the Place Charles-de-Gaulle at the corner of the Avenue de Wagram, odd side, and entrance 5 is at the same corner on the even side. Entrances 6 and 7 are on the Avenue Carnot, the even and odd sides, and 6 is the one for the car park. Entrance 8 is on the Avenue de la Grande-Armée, even side, and entrance 9, the Rue de Presbourg, is on the odd side of the same avenue. Entrance 10 is on the Avenue Foch, odd side, by the car park, and entrance 11, the Rue Beaujon, is on the Avenue de Wagram, odd side.

Which one to take
For the Champs-Élysées, the first entrance is the one named for it. For the Avenue de la Grande-Armée, take entrance 8 or 9. For the Avenue Foch, take entrance 10. If your destination is on one of the other avenues, the entrance with that avenue's name is the shortest way up.
Typing it
The game spells the station Charles de Gaulle - Étoile. Accents are optional, but the spaces, hyphens and apostrophes have to be typed. Étoile is typed with or without its accent. The accent guide has the rules.
Checked against the English Wikipedia article for the station on 7 October 2026. Stations are rebuilt and exits close for works, and the signs in the station are the final word, so check them as well.
