The Northern line was formed by joining several early Tube lines, among them the City & South London Railway and the Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway. It has the most complex branching on the Underground. North of Camden Town it splits into the High Barnet and Edgware branches. Between Camden Town and Kennington it runs in two completely separate tunnels, one by way of Bank and one by way of Charing Cross. South of Kennington it forks again, toward Morden or toward Battersea Power Station, opened in 2021.
In HelloSubway you type High Barnet to Morden by way of Bank.
Station by station
From High Barnet, the Northern line calls at Totteridge & Whetstone, Woodside Park, Finchley Central, West Finchley, East Finchley, Highgate, Archway, Tufnell Park, Kentish Town, Camden Town, Euston, King's Cross St Pancras, Angel, Old Street and Moorgate.
After that come Bank, London Bridge, Borough, Elephant & Castle, Kennington, Oval, Stockwell, Clapham North, Clapham Common, Clapham South, Balham, Tooting Bec, Tooting Broadway, Colliers Wood, South Wimbledon and Morden.

Which branch is this train?
The branches can look the same on the map but not on the train. On approach to Camden Town, on-board announcements name the station as either Camden Town (Bank Branch) or Camden Town (Charing Cross Branch), so listen for it. A 2016 Londonist comparison found that the Charing Cross branch reaches Camden Town about five minutes sooner than the Bank branch, which takes around 21 minutes to cross the centre. In the game you type the Bank route.
Branches you don't type
The other pieces are drawn dotted on our map: the Edgware branch from Camden Town, the short Mill Hill East branch from Finchley Central, the Charing Cross route between Camden Town and Kennington, and the extension from Kennington to Battersea Power Station. When you ride for real, check the front of the train: two trains at the same platform can go very different ways.
