It runs down the White Plains Road Line and the Lenox Avenue Line through Harlem, then shares the Broadway-Seventh Avenue express tracks with the 1 between 96th Street and Chambers Street. In Brooklyn it follows the Eastern Parkway and Nostrand Avenue Lines to Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College.
