The F starts at Jamaica-179th Street in Queens and runs local along the Queens Boulevard Line. It goes through the 53rd Street tunnel into Manhattan, which it shares with the E, then down the Sixth Avenue Line local and through the Rutgers Street tunnel under the East River into Brooklyn. There it follows the Culver Line, shared with the G from Jay Street-MetroTech to Church Avenue, all the way to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.
