The G is the Brooklyn-Queens Crosstown Local, the only New York subway service that never goes into Manhattan. It opened in 1933 as a shuttle between Queens Plaza and Nassau Avenue, was linked to the Culver Line at Bergen Street during the 1930s, and today runs local the whole way from Court Square in Long Island City to Church Avenue in Kensington.

Leaving Church Avenue, the G stops at Fort Hamilton Parkway, 15th Street-Prospect Park, 7th Avenue, 4th Avenue-9th Street, Smith-9th Streets, Carroll Street, Bergen Street, Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets, Fulton Street, Clinton-Washington Avenues, Classon Avenue, Bedford-Nostrand Avenues, Myrtle-Willoughby Avenues, Flushing Avenue, Broadway, Lorimer Street-Metropolitan Avenue, Nassau Avenue, Greenpoint Avenue, 21st Street and Court Square.
