The M starts at Forest Hills-71st Avenue in Queens and runs local along the Queens Boulevard Line, then through the 63rd Street tunnel into Manhattan and down the Sixth Avenue Line local. It crosses to Brooklyn over the Chrystie Street Connection and the Williamsburg Bridge on the Jamaica Line, which it shares with the J, and ends on the elevated Myrtle Avenue Line at Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue, back in Queens.
