Line 2 is the green loop. It opened in stages starting with the Sinseol-dong to Sports Complex section in 1980, and the loop was completed on May 22, 1984, at first under the name Euljiro Circular Line. It is Seoul's only circular line, and in HelloSubway you go once around it starting from City Hall: 43 stations.
Once around the loop
From City Hall the line heads east through Euljiro 1-ga, Euljiro 3-ga, Euljiro 4-ga, Dongdaemun History & Culture Park, Sindang, Sangwangsimni, Wangsimni, Hanyang University, Ttukseom, Seongsu, Konkuk University, Guui, Gangbyeon and Jamsillaru. It crosses the river to Jamsil, Jamsilsaenae, Sports Complex, Samseong, Seolleung, Yeoksam and Gangnam, then turns west through Seoul National University of Education, Seocho, Bangbae, Sadang, Nakseongdae, Seoul National University, Bongcheon, Sillim, Sindaebang, Guro Digital Complex, Daerim and Sindorim. The last quarter is Mullae, Yeongdeungpo-gu Office, Dangsan, Hapjeong, Hongik University, Sinchon, Ewha Womans University, Ahyeon and Chungjeongno, and the next stop is City Hall again.

The two spurs
Two short branches leave the loop: the Seongsu spur toward Sinseol-dong and the Sinjeong spur from Sindorim toward Kkachisan. Our map draws them dotted, and the game only types the loop.
Riding the loop
The main loop is 48.8 kilometres, and the Seongsu branch (5.4 km) and Sinjeong branch (6.0 km) bring the whole line to 60.2 km. Trains going clockwise are on the inner circle and trains going counter-clockwise are on the outer circle. The loop is the third longest subway loop in the world, after the Moscow Metro's Bolshaya Koltsevaya line and Beijing Subway Line 10.
Transfers and typing
Twenty-one of the 43 stations are transfers, tied with Line 4 and the Suin-Bundang Line for the most in Seoul. Once around takes 346 Hangul keystrokes, about 8 per station. Dongdaemun History & Culture Park is the longest at 26, followed by Guro Digital Complex at 16 and Sports Complex at 15, while Seoul National University of Education (교대), Seocho and Ewha Womans University (이대) need four each.
