The Ui-Sinseol Line opened on September 2, 2017. It was Seoul's first fully driverless, automated light rail line, run without an operator on board under central control. It runs 11.4 km between Bukhansan Ui in Gangbuk-gu and Sinseol-dong in Dongdaemun-gu.
The stations
From Bukhansan Ui the line runs Solbat Park, 4.19 National Cemetery, Gaori, Hwagye, Samyang, Samyang Sageori, Solsaem, Bukhansan Bogungmun, Jeongneung, Seongshin Women's University, Bomun and Sinseol-dong. The last three are transfers, to Line 4, Line 6 and Lines 1 and 2.
