Anvers station exit: one staircase on the Boulevard de Rochechouart, and the climb to Sacré-Cœur

Anvers on Line 2 has a single access, a staircase on the Boulevard de Rochechouart signed for Sacré-Cœur. The Montmartre funicular is a few hundred metres away by the Rue de Steinkerque.

Anvers is on Line 2, on the Place d'Anvers at the foot of Montmartre. It has one way in and out.

The one exit

The station has a single access, called Boulevard de Rochechouart - Sacré-Coeur. It comes up on the central reservation of the boulevard, on the Place d'Anvers, by a fixed staircase, and it is one of the historic Guimard entrances.

From the station to the basilica

The station sits near the hill of Montmartre and the Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur. Walking up is the usual way. The Montmartre funicular, which saves you the stairs, can be reached a few hundred metres from the station by taking the Rue de Steinkerque.

Typing it

The game spells the station Anvers. Accents are optional, but the spaces, hyphens and apostrophes have to be typed. In the game it comes after Pigalle and before Barbès - Rochechouart on Line 2. The accent guide has the rules.

Checked against the English Wikipedia article for the station on 7 October 2026. Stations are rebuilt and exits close for works, and the signs in the station are the final word, so check them as well.
