Châtelet is served by five Métro lines, 1, 4, 7, 11 and 14, plus RER lines A, B and D. The Métro station is listed with sixteen numbered entrances, spread around the Place du Châtelet, the Forum des Halles and the Avenue Victoria.
The entrances
Entrance 1 is at 112 Rue de Rivoli. Entrance 2 is the Porte Lescot, the way to the Forum des Halles and the Centre Pompidou. Entrance 4 is at 9 Avenue Victoria. Entrance 5 is a staircase on the Place du Châtelet. Entrance 6 is at 8 Place Sainte-Opportune, entrance 7 at 19 Rue des Lavandières, entrance 8 at 5 Rue Saint-Denis, and entrance 9 at the corner of the Rue des Halles and the Rue de la Lingerie. Entrance 10 is an elevator facing 12 or 33 Rue de la Ferronnerie, and entrance 11 is at 20 Rue Bertin-Poirée.
Along the Avenue Victoria, entrance 12 is at 17 Avenue Victoria for the Théâtre du Châtelet, and entrance 13 is at 15 Avenue Victoria for the Théâtre de la Ville. Entrances 15 and 16 are at 13 and 16 Avenue Victoria.

Which one to take
For the Place du Châtelet and its fountain, take entrance 5. For the Forum des Halles and the Centre Pompidou, take entrance 2. For the two theatres on the Avenue Victoria, take entrance 12 or 13. If you are looking for a particular street, the entrance with that street's address is the closest.
