Seoul Subway Line 7: all 53 stations from Jangam to Incheon

The olive-green line zigzags from Jangam in the northeast through Gangnam and out to Bucheon and Incheon, with no branches. 53 stations, 421 keystrokes.

Line 7 is the olive-green line. It opened on October 11, 1996, was extended into Bupyeong-gu in Incheon in 2012, and on May 22, 2021 reached Seongnam (석남) by way of Sangok, where it meets Incheon Subway Line 2. It is one of the longest single routes in the capital region without any branch: 53 stations from Jangam to Seongnam.

The route

From Jangam the line runs Dobongsan, Suraksan, Madeul, Nowon, Junggye, Hagye, Gongneung, Taereung, Meokgol, Junghwa, Sangbong, Myeonmok, Sagajeong, Yongmasan, Junggok, Gunja, Children's Grand Park, Konkuk University and Jayang. It crosses the Han to Cheongdam, Gangnam-gu Office, Hakdong, Nonhyeon, Banpo and Express Bus Terminal, then continues through Naebang, Isu, Namseong, Soongsil University, Sangdo, Jangseungbaegi, Sindaebang Triangle, Boramae, Sinpung, Daerim, Namguro, Gasan Digital Complex, Cheolsan, Gwangmyeong Sageori, Cheonwang and Onsu. The western end is Kkachiul, Bucheon Sports Complex, Chunui, Sinjungdong, Bucheon City Hall, Sangdong, Samsan Gymnasium, Gulpocheon, Bupyeong-gu Office, Sangok and Seongnam.

How it grew

Line 7 is 60.1 kilometres long with 53 stations. It opened on October 11, 1996, and the western section between Sinpung and Onsu followed on February 29, 2000. On October 27, 2012 nine stations were added into Incheon, a 10.2-kilometre extension ending at Bupyeong-gu Office, and on May 22, 2021 a 3.94-kilometre extension reached Seongnam. It is run by Seoul Metro and the Incheon Transit Corporation, each on its own part of the line.

Fourteen stations are transfers, including Dobongsan, Nowon, Taereung, Sangbong, Gunja, Konkuk University, Gangnam-gu Office, Express Bus Terminal, Isu, Daerim, Gasan Digital Complex and Onsu. The full line takes 421 Hangul keystrokes, about 7.9 per station. Bucheon Sports Complex (부천종합운동장) is the longest at 20, then Gasan Digital Complex at 17 and Children's Grand Park at 16.
