City Hall Station is where Line 1 meets Line 2 (station 201). It sits under Seoul Plaza, the lawn in front of Seoul City Hall, at the start of the walk up Sejong-daero to Gwanghwamun.
Deoksugung Palace: exit 1 or 2
Visit Seoul gives exit 1 as 72 metres from Deoksugung Palace, and exit 2 also leads there. The palace's main gate, Daehanmun, faces the plaza.
Visit Seoul lists the changing of the royal guard in front of Daehanmun at 11:00, 14:00 and 15:30, except on Mondays. The Deoksugung stone wall path, a walkway along the palace wall, starts nearby.

Typing it
시청 is five keystrokes in Hangul, and it is the first station you type on Line 2, which starts here and goes once around the loop.
Exit numbers and distances here are the ones published by Seoul's official tourism sites. Stations get rebuilt and exits are sometimes closed for works, so check the signs in the station as well.
