Seoul Station is the city's main rail hub. In the game it is on four lines: Line 1, Line 4 (station 426), the Airport Railroad, where it is the city end of the line, and the Seoul Station branch of the Gyeongui-Jungang Line.

Culture Station Seoul 284 and Seoullo 7017: exit 2

The old domed station building, now an arts space called Culture Station Seoul 284, is 60 metres from exit 2, according to Visit Seoul. Seoullo 7017, the 1970 highway overpass that reopened in 2017 as an elevated garden walkway, is about a three-minute walk from the same exit. Visit Seoul's night walking tour starts from exit 15 and climbs onto Seoullo from there.

Seoullo connects the station area with Namdaemun Market and the slopes toward Myeongdong and Namsan, so it is also a pleasant way to walk east instead of taking another train.

Typing it

서울역 is eight keystrokes in Hangul. It is the only Seoul station whose name ends in 역 (station). On the Airport Railroad it is the first station of the AREX guide.

Exit numbers and distances here are the ones published by Seoul's official tourism sites. Stations get rebuilt and exits are sometimes closed for works, so check the signs in the station as well.
