Tower Hill is on the Circle and District lines. The station opened in its present form in 1967, replacing Mark Lane, and it has an entrance opposite the Tower of London.

Roman London

The station entrance is a few metres from one of the largest remaining segments of the Roman London Wall, and a small section of that wall is visible above the track at the far eastern end of the westbound platform, near the ceiling. The Merchant Navy Memorial in Trinity Square Gardens commemorates merchant seafarers lost in the two World Wars and the Falklands campaign.

Typing it

Tower Hill is typed with a space, in the District line guide and the Circle line guide.

Checked against the English Wikipedia articles for the station and the sights on 7 October 2026. Stations are rebuilt and exits close for works, so follow the signs in the station as well.
